My latest character never grew up with the proper dental care.
As a result, he grew bitter, angry, and vengeful.

New Alien!
14 second timelapse
New Alien 2 edit on Flickr.
Revisited this alien bust I started in Zbrush a few weeks ago. It’s come a long way. I could help myself with the glitch effect. Good practice as always.
Last night I had some fun with Pixelogic’s free application ‘Sculptris’
No concept sketch, just sculpting off the dome.

60min Zbrush
30min Photoshop
Based off a doodle in my sketchbook.

Personal test.
Sculptris Sketch 03 on Flickr.
Rendered out a few shaders and played with some textures in Photoshop. Based off one of the many weird faces I draw in my sketchbook.
One of my favorite friends. He makes it his own whenever he wants, no stopping him.
Been working on these chaps, there’s about a 6 month gap between the two and the likenesses aren’t bang on, but hopefully recognisable enough!
1100 tris each, 512 diffuse only. Might rig up for some dance routines, if I get any more time after crits.
My latest 3D DEMO REEL, enjoy!
The other night,
I brought one of my sketches to life.
In Zbrush I recreated this old man.
His eyes read,
“Didn’t you know?!”

You can see how my previous drawings really helped guide this 3d sketch.

I don’t know how many months its been since I last touch Zbrush, and this was with just a mouse!
Fall in love again.
Stop. Put on your headphones. Go fullscreen, and sit still as Resonance blasts your earballs to pieces. After debuting at OFFF Barcelona, Resonance is now online for all to enjoy. In its creator’s words: [Resonance is] a collaborative project with over 30 independent visual and audio designers / studios. The aim was to explore the relationship between geometry and audio in unique ways. There are several goosebump-worthy moments sprinkled throughout the film’s 11 minutes, but some of my favorite pairings are Jr.canest/David Kamp (2:50), Polynoid/David Kamp (4:19), Momentary People/Audionerve (7:08), and Onur Senturk/Studio Takt (8:37). The beauty of the project is that there’s something for everyone.
